i used to hate fish/sushi growing up. Until this girl I thought was hot offered me some. I really wanted to impress her, so I ate all the slimy sushi. I was literally about to yak in front of her. I held it down, and was determined after that to learn how to like it...

Yogurt. In the past, not only would I NOT eat yogurt, I'd make fun of you, often in rude ways, if YOU ate yogurt...:p

This year, we decided to add a container of yogurt to our smoothie mix to give it some dairy. My wife is lactose intolerant, but yogurt apparently is very low in lactic acid...so she can tolerate it. I still wouldn't EAT the stuff, but in a smoothie, the fruits and juice cover the flavor. At Winco, they carry Tillamook yogurt, and it was on sale...so we bought their Mountain Huckleberry yogurt. Since we love huckleberries, I decided to try a spoonful...just to see.

OMFG!! It's wonderful!!:$ For the first time in my life...I eat yogurt...and love it. I tried the peach variety last week. It's ok, but not nearly as good as the huckleberry. This week, it's Oregon strawberry in the tasting rotation...but I still bought a case of the huckleberry.:p

Also, chicken. When I was young, I liked chicken...especially "southern fried" chicken. One of my jobs had me occasionally working at/around the local Foster Farms chicken ranches...and at the processing plants. Completely turned me off of chicken. Filthy nasty birds...raised in horribly dirty nasty places...After my bout of surgeries, my tastes have changed dramatically. I now like chicken...or at least, most chicken dishes.

Oddly enough, I was a chocoholic...just put down the chocolate and no one gets hurt...but since the surgeries, it's only ok to me.

As a kid, I never really liked vegetables. I guess that's what everyone experiences. Now, I like vegetables.

Right now, I'm not willing to eat some Chinese dishes like chicken feet because it looks gross. Maybe I'll try it sometime and see how it tastes. I just don't want to deal with bones in my food :p

Olives and coffee, although I'm not sure coffee really counts. I've always liked the flavor of coffee, but only in highly sweetened coffee drinks and things like coffee ice cream.

Nowadays, I like coffee, but I still put milk and sugar in it. I don't like it without at least a small amount of either one (preferably both).

I'm still getting used to this. I used to HATE it but I'm starting slowly to acquire a taste for it if cooked right.

Sushi - I liked california rolls but anything with fish I couldn't stand.

I'm still not a huge fan of it, but I'm down to go on occasion. I'm still not huge on sashimi.
