Yogurt. In the past, not only would I NOT eat yogurt, I'd make fun of you, often in rude ways, if YOU ate yogurt...
This year, we decided to add a container of yogurt to our smoothie mix to give it some dairy. My wife is lactose intolerant, but yogurt apparently is very low in lactic acid...so she can tolerate it. I still wouldn't EAT the stuff, but in a smoothie, the fruits and juice cover the flavor. At Winco, they carry Tillamook yogurt, and it was on sale...so we bought their Mountain Huckleberry yogurt. Since we love huckleberries, I decided to try a spoonful...just to see.
OMFG!! It's wonderful!!:$ For the first time in my life...I eat yogurt...and love it. I tried the peach variety last week. It's ok, but not nearly as good as the huckleberry. This week, it's Oregon strawberry in the tasting rotation...but I still bought a case of the huckleberry.
Also, chicken. When I was young, I liked chicken...especially "southern fried" chicken. One of my jobs had me occasionally working at/around the local Foster Farms chicken ranches...and at the processing plants. Completely turned me off of chicken. Filthy nasty birds...raised in horribly dirty nasty places...After my bout of surgeries, my tastes have changed dramatically. I now like chicken...or at least, most chicken dishes.
Oddly enough, I was a chocoholic...just put down the chocolate and no one gets hurt...but since the surgeries, it's only ok to me.
