divide_by_zero,

You would need a 93Mhz FSB, (which would put the rest of the bus way out of spec), to run them at 750Mhz since they're locked at 8X. They have a VERY low success rate at 100Mhz (800Mhz) because they are the old core, so 667Mhz would be a more realistic upper-end estimate.

I thought that was the case. Does anyone happen to have a P3 500 they are willing to part with? I could at least double my current cpu power...

Gee Russ, I was just across the street at your place, and think you should save a little cash for the new contest you were talking about for next month. 🙂

Before I order a couple.. are these the revision F boards? Only the "F" boards will go to 850, the others top out at 600.

networkman,

They're revision B, and they run 850Mhz just fine. Don't believe all that you read.😀 They will identify at bootup as 600Mhz, but they're running at 850 no problemo.

Wellcky
I don't think it just BIOS. I believe Revision F uses the correct MOSFET for the power regulator as specified by Intel. But the part used with Revision B can support power requirements for Pentium III Slot 1 processors.
