tyan s2895 not switchin on pls help!!!

Im using an Antec truepower 550 eps.When i switch it on there is no response. I even tried pressing the power switch in the mobo but in vain. Wht could be the problem? im scared to hell now...... one little thing when i connected a wireless transmitter for the keyboard and mouse its power light is glowing....... i removed everything even the display card but no response.......
 
try seing if it will start without the computer, that way you can rule out the psu.
to do this, just get a paperclip and bridge the green wire on the atx connecter with one of the black wires (ground) on the same atx connector. if it starts up, its not the psu 😛
 
The PSU is just fine....i tried what lockman said and its running.i connected the 24 pin and the 8 pin connector alone.am i missing anything?is there anyythin i shud do?this is the first time im building a dual processor system. any help would be gud.
