According to TYAN's website that when bios is flashed to 1.07 it can take up to a 1ghz PIII and 800mhz Celeron. I just got a 800mhz celeron and cannot get the board to post past the video card bios bios info screen.
Any suggestions or anyone with experience?
Thanks!

Try putting the celermine on a slotkit & using the slot 1 connector. Use the jumpers on the slotkit to set your voltage & bus speed.

Birddog,
Thanks for the reply!
I already tried what you suggested and it didn't work.
The voltage was set at 1.7 and i tried the bus speed on 66, 100 & default.
What are the correct settings? Let me know and I will try again.
Thanks - MASE

Per the Intel website the Cel 800 runs at 100mhz. Will try tonight and see if it works.

The board works fine with other CPU's, correct?

Can you check the CPU in another motherboard to see if the CPU works OK?

I don't have a board that will run it. I will test at a friends house and see if it works. May be a few days. I'll update you when I know more.
Thanks and please monitor this post.

Hey, the 1854s has a jumper you have to set to switch from socket 370 to Slot 1. It won't POST if you don't have it set right. Sounds like you may have this problem. I have a Trinity and it handles up to a 1GHz PIII. The default for the socket 370 is 100 MHz. To go faster than this put your chip in a Slotket and set the jumpers to where you want them. Switch the MB jumper to support Slot 1 and try again. It's a great board, very stable and will work if you set it right.

I had a PIII in it prior, so the jumper was set correctly. Hope the CPU isn't DOA as it is new.
