TY letters for interviews

sorry to disappoint all of ya.. got out of college.. join a hedge fund... that was 7 years ago... CTO before I turned 30, and just got another CTO position

Assumign that you are truly lost and really need a legitiamte answer, I would send it on the best paper you can find. that much should be obvious.


 
Well, just sending one is a start. But go with the fancy paper, it shows you put in the extra effort.

I just interviewed 14 people a few weeks ago - we got one thank you letter back. Guess who made it for a second interview?

p.s. Don't be the dumbass who calls to ask about the status of their situation. I had a woman call, who left a message *telling* me to give her a call about where she stands (about 4 days after her interview, so we haven't even sent the turn-down letters yet). Nothing pisses me off more.

You can't tell me that 'thank you' letter swung it over the other 13 candidates right? SURELY one was a bit better or quite a bit better then the rest of the 13 candiates?

I had an interview today in fact. The one with the HR person was great. She loved me. Got on very well. The Manager of the department I was going for was also good. More probing questions but I provided good answers :thumbsup:. Hopefully I'll get the call back within 7 days for the 2nd interview. This time no more technical stuff, just talking to the other Managers.

we interviewed many people for a programming position. didn't get a TY letter from any of them and I probably would have thought they were sucking up, anyway.

However, it is distinctly a 'Southern' thing to do.
