I don't look to Garland for much of anything. he is the reason, in my opinion why Trump will likely not come to trial on many of his charges until after the 2024 election. He was so late in acting because he was more interested in keeping the DOJ from suffering Republican condemnation as partisan than doing his real job. The result, in my opinion again, is that because of him the country was dealt a massive injustice. Countless numbers of people think Trump will never see the inside of prison where he belongs.

IMO, he's actually emotionally attached to guns. He fears what others have is more potent than his, he's said it himself. I'm in a fiendish mood today, already backing off from heinous insinuations as to how I might treat MAGA-GOP in certain encounters.

It’s rather simple really. I believe a naive and fearful segment on the left face siezed on gun violence as a way to denounce conservative Republicans and in the process drive common sense gun owners away from the party. People own guns for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is a biologically driven imperative toward self preservation, a natural and organic self evident right.

The left has, in my opinion, stupidly told people who feel that the right to bear arms and the right of self defense are inextricably bound together see such well meaning but deluded liberals as dangerous to their personal safety, prompting responses like 'from my cold dead hands'. Liberals, of course, like anyone else can be idiots.

What liberals refuse to see is that it isn't guns that are the cause of so much violence in American culture but the psychopathy that American competitive do eat dog and the humiliation of failure to garner social self respect that drives man men to seek fame by killing as many children as they can. And every liberal, owing to his or her own personal cowardliness, that fails to see that the gun issue is a substitute cause for the real issue is complicit themselves in killing those very children. We are a sick culture and nothing will change as long as the disease of avoidance of the awareness of self hate continues to perpetuate.

That is the mirror I offer.

Those of you who wish to ban guns played right into the hands of the NRA. Now nobody can pass any sensible gun laws.

The only place where guns ever enter my head is on this forum and the waning interest that inspired in me to build an AR for fun and clean the ones I had up. I also bought a 22 and 380 APC pistol all three of which I have never fired. I have a 22 rifle soomewhere in my garage I haven’t seem in decades I fired as a child and a 9mm I put maybe 10 rounds through ages ago.

I spend vastly more time with a chef knife than I do with guns. I am busy with other things. I would bet that anybody who could objectively determine my emotional attachment to guns vs your attachment to then would conclud that your wild speculation about my level of positive attachment to them is only the result of your negative emotions about them. You see me as a gun nut because you are gun nuts and that illness you have is why we can’t get any reasonable gun control legislation passed these days and why your focus on evil guns instead of the psychopathy of American culture is why schools will continue to be shot up by psychologically deranged people. The guilty look for easy targets to blame.
