T'Wolves in 7

Shaq is a one move guy, once a team adjusts to him he is essentially canceled out, or alteast much less of a factor. The best thing the lakers have going for them is Bryant because he does so much in different places.

As a MN fan, I'm thinking lakers in 6 unless the wolves can pull together. They need casell healthier, and all of the players to get going. This series for the wolves is square on the sholders of garnett, spre, and casell no question. The rest can play well, but those 3 are going to have to up it to get past the lakers, and I hope the do.

How to beat Lakers.

Double team Shaq. Make Kobe work.

Garnett must take 21-25 shots a night. Spree must score at least 15 a game, same goes for Cassell.

Szczerbiak must take more threes.

Szczerbiak can't be guarded when he's on.

Make Payton take more shots then he should. He will screw up the triangle offense.

Make sure you guard Fisher all the time! Make Malone, Payton and the rest beat you!

as much as i dislike the lakers... i don't think the wolves have a chance. lakers are healthy now and the wolves are simply overmatched.

he also makes huge contributions on the defensive end... it's so hard to drive and penetrate the laker interior with shaq there. also shaq is a rebounding beast when he feels the need to be one.

Nope. Lakers in 5.

Lakers in 5 in the Finals to I'm afraid.

Belive me I'm rooting for " any " team against the Lakers.

I've yet to see anyone EVER adjust to Shaq. The only way to stop Shaq is to break his knee. Hell, they could still plug him in the lineup and tell him to just lay down in the lane on the defensive end.

Who knows. These are the Lakers after all and they're not the Lakers of a few years ago. Argue with it all you like but Shaq isn't what he was. Still dominate of course but not absolutely unstopable in the way he used to be. *shrugs* we'll see.

If he can continue to shoot 81% from the free throw line then the series is done. If he drops back to his normal ~50% then the Twolves have a chance.

The only way the wolves have a chance is if Shaq goes up for a rebound and comes down on Kobe, breaking his own leg and knocking Kobe into a coma for the length of the series.

Even then the wolves have to play their best ball of the year.

Lakers in 3!!!

Lakers win 3 in a row by such a big margin that the T'wolves forfeit game 4?

Better chance of that happening then the T'wolves winning the series 😛

So basically the Wolves have to play perfect offensive games every night and need 8 defenders. Simple enough.

You obviously don't watch much basketball if you think it's possible to "adjust" to shaq. San Antonio seemed to be able to do something to him on the offensive end but had no answers to him when he was playing defense. And if you think its 6 unless the wolves can pull together, it's much closer to Lakers in 4 unless they swap their bench with their starting lineup.

I'm actually disappointed with KG. I was expecting a much stronger showing from the MVP despite cassell being out. And don't tell me Kandi is going to save you. The guy shoots 4/5 in the first quarter (because he was relatively unguarded) and nabs 3 boards and the announcers are talking about him like he is the messiah for the TWolves.

Not gonna happen. It would be a much more interesting series with Hudson not injured but I would have rather much seen a LA vs SAC WCF matchup.

If I recall correctly, Wally world took plenty of threes last year. Of course, whenever he didn't hand over the ball to the lakers.

Payton isnt the shooter out of the triangle. His shots mainly come out of transition and iso post up plays. Lakers run a combo of screen/pick and roll and triangle.

Flip is calling for Hassell to guard Kobe. I wanna see this next "Kobe Stopper" try to put the stop on him. Just like Bowen did last series and Patterson did in the past

i guess i am not the only one noticing shaq getting old... not like they could possibly lose this season tho, GO LAKERS!!!!!

It took a MVP performance out of KG shooting all those shots in the 4th to beat the kings by only a few points. The wolves had to play at their best to beat the kings by only 3 points. That pretty much sums up their chances against the lakers. KG is an awesome player though, rare to find a player of his stats.
