Two Z-560's???

I was wondering if you could set up two sets of Logitech Z-560's easily, and if it would be worth it over one set of the Klipsch 4.1's or 5.1's. The price of the Z-560's is what is really interesting me in getting two sets, for more power.

you could hook up as many speakers as you want, you just need to keep splitting the soundcard output using adapters you can find at radio shack

whether it's worth the cost of all those speakers or not is another question....

Why do you want two sets??

the loudness and bass of one set will make your house shake anyway.....

can you tell me what these adapters are? i wanna hook up wayyyy more speakers to my existing FPS 2000 digital setup. an audigy could handle it right

My friend has a set of Klipsch 4.1s and a set of Klipsch 5.1s connected to the same computer in about a 10' by 10' room. While it certainly is nice, it is probably overkill unless you have $200 to throw away.

that is a very bad idea.

the subwoofers will interfere with each other... you will get areas of WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much bass and areas of none what so ever... (look up constructive and destructive interference of waves) the effects are reduced if the subs are placed further apart...

the sub is very strong even if you have teh bass at the lowest mark...

I wouldnt do it. I'd rather get the 5.1 klipsch than 2 sets of z560s. I have the logitechs and like them a lot but I cant even imagine have 2 sets!

all you need is a 1/8 inch male stereo to dual 1/8 inch female stereo adapter.

that would basically turn one analog out into 2 outs

No kidding...I haven't moved the base dial from the lowest position since I had them..lol..

hmm...that's a good question. i suppose you could split the digital connection though as well.

I just bought a set or Z560's. No lack of volume. of course im in a fairly small room but still, with the volume turned about halfway up you can hear it at the other end of the house.

about the bass, i keep mine about halfway up. is this because i like more bass, or that Logitech listened to people and allowed ppl to turn the bass down lower on the newer models?

Go for it!! I went 8.2 with 2 sets of ProMedia 4.1s and now have a 9.2 set up (effectively 7.1). If you're debating whether or not going with the Z560s or the PM 4.1s and you aren't considering the PM 5.1s, go ahead and do the 2 X Z560s.

All you need are 2 1/8" stereo Y-jack adaptors.

EDIT: No sub cancellation will occur. I have had a 12.3 set up with 3 sets of PM 4.1s for a day and I had 2 of the subs next to each other... all 3 within about 4 feet of each other and no problems occurred. Right now, my PM 5.1 sub is placed next to me in the left front corner of my room and my PM 4.1 sub is placed to the rear in the right rear corner of my 10.5ft X 11ft room (yup... my college apartment is damn small... all the better for my speaker set up).
