Two worlds is for sale (steam) for $17. Was this any good ? I passed on ventica, and a few others but maybe this one is ok ?

Most reviews seem to give it a 7ish out of 10 when it came out. Average game. Not great but not totally bad I guess. Certainly not worth $50. I been waiting for it to hit bargain price myself before trying it. Just bought it and DLing it now. I figure if its as good as I think it is it will be worth the $17.

I think you have to like these kind of games to begin with to get any enjoyment out of them. I believe there is a sequel/expansion pack coming out for it this Fall. I remember seeing it advertised somewhere.

I have the same question. Wondering how it compares to Morrowind / Oblivion.

Those were 8 out of 10 or better type games. The only game I think you'll see that can compare to those two games directly and possibly beat them will be the new Skyrim coming out later this year.

People must be slamming the Steam server today. I'm only getting 850 kb/s on average and I usually get 2mb/s-2.2mb/s on average when downloading.

Well I've read most of the reviews but they didn't seem to help much. I liked titan quest; oblivion was so so; b. gate 2 was fun wizardry 8 was fun. No clue what this is like; sounds like no one here has played 🙁

The game is terrible, worse than the first game. The graphics are horrible, and are outright disgusting to look at. Screenshots don't do the game justice, you have to actually play it to see how bad the graphics are. The gameplay is horrible also, wouldn't recommend it at all.

I generally liked the game. Graphics look great, gameplay is nice too. However the story is a mess... Started OK, then moved into "huh?" territory and finally a big "WTF?" at the end.

I'd give it 6-ish out of 10.

Paid full price for it, Wouldn't do it again, but $17 sounds good for what the game offers.

You could look at some youtube game play videos to give you some idea. There are plenty of them to see. Check out their reviews and some Lets Play Two Worlds Two videos. In the end you will have to decide for yourself. The graphics look quite good to me. I don't know what JumBie is talking about by saying they are horrible.

Be sure to look at the videos and reviews for the PC version and not the console version. The console game version is not so good I have heard. Supposedly the console controls are not that great as the game plays better on a PC. At least thats what I have heard said by the professional reviewers and players. Controls are better for mouse and keyboard they say.

run..dont walk away
try the demo like i just did
static the gfx decieve
the pop in and char movement laughably bad
id have to be paid(handsomely) to tolerate playing this again

Wha?? The graphics are pretty good and I had no issues with shit popping up

The game itself was pretty fun. I liked it.

Yeah pretty much my thoughts but I'd give it a 7/10

Not sure what the hell people are talking about with the graphics. They were perfectly fine.

...OK, so far this game is very very odd.

Create a spell - air book, bolt delivery, no damage modifier. Say "Throws random object at target". OK, cool - force push.

Only, no. It actually just creates junk in midair, to no affect whatsoever. And "Throws" in this case means "appears out of thin air, then falls on target. maybe."

Actually its a cool feature one thing I liked about the game, you can experiment with different mods for spells, the game is worth $17 IMHO,I finished it twice ie first as warrior and second as mage, mage was more fun, graphics are decent plus lots of places to explore ,only really bad thing is story was very weak IMHO.

I did some more research. I can't stand the third person view, so the fact that there is no first person option pretty much makes this a non-starter for me. If there is a first person mod that works (and there doesn't seem to be), please let me know before 1 PM EST...
