Floor still looks average. Wasn't it Crysis 2's DX11 patch that added Tesselation that gave the floors an actual stone look?

Oh, and I heard it was rendered on a GTX 680.

Here's hoping that art schools would start producing artists with proficient programming skills.

err the editor video kinda showed they were moving quite far from that....

"The key to these programming abilities is a new version of Kismet, the pseudo-programming environment that has been brought along and fully revamped from Unreal Engine 3. Kismet uses connected puzzle pieces to represent attributes and relationships in and between in-game objects, so designers with minimal programming experience can control everything from the weight of an object to the way it bounces, what should happen when it comes close to another object, and how many hits from a hammer it should take to shatter—all without having to edit a single line of code directly."

your best artist is unlikely to be a coder, so what..:p

Sounds (and looks) very similar to the flowgraphing system that CryEngine2 was using a long time ago.

It certainly makes scripting and modding a lot more feasible. The "Mirror's Edge" mod for Crysis was all done using nothing but flowgraphs. Very cool system to have in an engine editor.

Even if the rumors are true it's a pretty big leap going from a 7800gt to a 6790.

More than you might think at first, since consoles can get more performance out of the hardware than PCs thanks to developers being able to code at a lower level.

Anyways, demos look nice. Can't wait to see games like that. But I need to get hardware that can actually play that first...
