They are teachers. That means regardless of age they had a custodial responsibility over the student. That is the problem here, not his age.

I wonder how this conversation came up between these two ladies. There's a lot of variables that just have to click to pull that kind of stunt off.
 
Seriously, a 17 year old is more than capable of deciding whether or not he should have sex.

That said, the teachers are in a position of authority over him and thus should have refrained. They should lose their jobs, but unless they coerced him, I don't believe anything they did should be illegal.
 
Almost every school has a teacher arrested for child molestation.


Why cant we screen out the pedophiles from the teaching profession?

Ephebophile != pedophile! It's pretty much just being attracted to young adults or late adolescents, who are sexually mature and of typical sexually active age, which is pretty much EVERYONE.

Yeah, I figure most people over 14 are not potential pedophilia, underage sex, yes, it's the legal system, but a 17 year old guy, that's a young adult. A lot depends on his maturity. A lot of people that age are essentially adults, a lot of 28 year olds are way too immature to be called adults.

If this guy did "kiss and tell," bad on him, he blew it.
