I have a re purposed Seagate Mirra Personal Server that I have flashed to the default VIA bios. The original box had only 64MB Ram so I ordered two PC133 sticks of 1/2 Meg for the boards total capacity of 1GB Ram. The system only sees one stick of RAM. I have switched slots to see if one stick might be bad but system starts okay with either stick in slot O.

I am installing "Damn Small Linux" as all I want is a file server.

Any ideas?

First guess is that you have PC133 made with ICs that are of a higher density than your chipset/memory controller can handle. What are the spex on the chipset/memory controller in that setup?

Post the chipset and memory controller model numbers here. Then, see if you can find the chipset spex online. Post a link if you find them.
