Thank you Amnesia1187 & Coup27

Luckilly after few rebootings the speed is back to SATA2 :whiste:
Beats me ....
Now it looks good speedwise, 200-250 MB/s for a SATA2 without AHCI.

I was pretty desperate as this is the second SSD showing SATA1 speeds (110 MB/s), after INTEL 520.

The MB is an ancient ASSUS NARA with 2007 BIOS .... SATA2 ... no AHCI.
Drivers are up-to-date so to speek.

Trying to retire a 3 yers old OCZ 1 as I have no time to buid another PC and reinstall everything.

Hi guys,

Yesterday my OZC Vector SSD drives failed and died (doesn't recognize by the BIOS) with just one month using it. Looking on the net I have found that brand of SSD drives fail a lot, so I am going to change at Amazon by another brand drive.

I have thought about the 840 Pro for Samsung but searching on google I have found this thread where it seems due to a firmware bug the drives also died, so what I would like to know if that issue has been solved with the last firmware launched by Samsung last year.

Thanks a lot for all guys.

Locking this thread as it has already been updated by the OP with Anand's update as well.
