I'm not sure if the batteries actually last 8 hours (each) as advertised, but I never found this to be a problem, since they include 2 of them. While you're playing games, the other battery just sits in its charger, so you should be fine during extended gaming sessions.

I do have one problem with this controller though. Ocassionally, the controller will get all screwy and will not respond correctly. I've had several Madden sessions when all of the sudden my selected player will begin moving by himself. I'm not sure if it's the controller and receiver base or if it's radio interference coming from somewhere. Anyway, this can be extremely annoying when you're facing a third and long situation in Madden and have to call a timeout to fix your controller.

Personally, I think 2 for $39.99 is a great deal, especially for sports games (and if you have a friend).

I noticed when playing NFS Underground that my car will start to swerve to the right, but it only happens when I start a new game. when it happens, I pause, take the battery out of the controller, snap it back in, and recalibrate the analog controllers by moving them around in circles a few times (like the good old days with my CH Flightstick Pro). I don't know if it's the same problem that you're having, but I hope that helps.

I bought two of these and started using them...they seem great (just make sure you install using drivers from website and not from the cd that comes with it)

One question though...I left the controllers sitting around after i was done and when i came back the next day, they were totally discharged. I notice the lcd screen shuts off after awhile of no use but does mean the controller is turned off? Why did the batteries drain? I read the manual but it said nothing about needing to remove the batteries in between use in order to conserve charge...

I had the same problem three times in the same game during the day i bought them except that mine would get stuck in a certain position in the middle of a NSFU game. It seemed like radio interference at first but it wasnt since it just became stuck in certain positions for no reason and stayed that way even after reboot - only fixed by recalibrating.

I also noticed once the battery drains to the first mark (1/3) it seemed to take a second before a movement responded.

Otherwise, they were great controllers.

Don't know if this applies there but sometime the manufacturer recommends using special 'profile' created specifically for that gamepad and game....

Thanks!

Just picked up a couple on the way home from work.

The funny thing is - it doesn't look like you need to buy two. The guy at the register said they were for 34.99 with a 15 dollar rebate. I still bought 2. The cashier printed out 2 15 dollar rebates for me. The terms on the rebate say I can get up 2 rebates.

Anyways, thanks - great for my HTPC!

How do you recalibrate those gamepad? Is there a utility available or just remove the battery and go to control Panel > Game controller > properties ?

My car steers left on NFS and it's quite annoying :)

What I do is remove the battery, snap it back in, and then just move the analog controls in circles (all the way to the edges and do a couple 360°s)... no need to go into the control panel. If you're still drifting, well, I don't know how you have your controller setup for driving, but you might want to reconfigure it. I use one analog stick for accelerate/reverse and the other stick for steering left/right. Hope that helps.

Will try next time, thanks for the reply.
I was wondering if NFS is a multiplayers game, meaning not online but from one system?

No, but for some reason they entered each of my rebates twice. My list has two approved rebates and two rejected rebates. I don't know how they came up with that.
