Two robbers try to rob Bruce Lee with knife, one gets beat up, the other ends up dead

Why did you cut the part out where they held the knife to the guy's neck, and go from the bad feeling part to lashing out in a blind panic? It makes it look like he started the thing based on a gut feeling and stabbed some guy who just pulled out a knife to trim his fingernails or something.

Somebody did pay for their actions. The dead guy did.

And really good the other robber is being charged with murder.

WTF that was the most confusing OP I've ever 'read'. Doesn't make a darn bit of sense

am I reading this correctly?

Gonzalez's father, Javier Gonzalez, said Friday that his son had cried out for his parents and sister when he burst into his home on San Leandro Street. He died there.

Javier Gonzalez sobbed at the loss of his son, who worked with him in his roofing business and at Oakland Raiders games.

"I'm angry at both of them," he said of the robbery victim and Veliz. "They took my son away from me. He was a hard-working kid."

He added, "My son is dead. I want somebody to pay for this."

the father of the guy who got stabbed for trying to steal from another thinks ANYONE has to pay for his sons death?

No, the father is right, somebody should pay. HE should pay. He failed utterly as a father, his attitude after the fact only underscores this.

Yep.

Fuck him and his "hard-working" son.

In a parallel universe where these two pieces of garbage had slashed the guy's throat and popped a few caps in him for good measure because he had the gall to resist them, then left him to die in a pool of blood alone in a train station, Javier Gonzalez wouldn't be saying shit about payback or justice. Odds are he'd have gotten several thousand dollars together that night and already had his son in hiding in Mexico.

Sad thing is that he's in a part of the country were a bogus wrongful death lawsuit against the robbery victim might have a chance of working.

You can't expect too much from a pair of trashy Raiders fans.
