two police officers shot in miami

Yeah this happen earlier today, was watching it on the news, all you could see were two bodies on the floors soaked in a blood covered sheet lying on top of them.

Goddammit. A massive funeral in my hometown, Lakewood NJ today for an officer shot and killed execution style while he was sitting in his car talking to the bastard. The community is really hard hit and police came from all over the country for the wake and funeral. And now this.

Pretty sad, but at least the gunman was shot and killed too. One less loser to sit on death row for 20 years through the appeals process.

Are there any names for the officers? My roommates sister is a cop in that area and I want to make sure she is ok 🙁

A better idea than banning the guns is banning the criminals...especially "habitual/career criminals."
The article says the two were part of Miami's Career Criminals Task Force working with the US Marshals.

Time to change the Three Strikes law to "Three Strikes you're dead."

While this idea may be somewhat strange to most Americans, how about copying the UK...that is, ban the police from carrying guns? It seems in nearly all these "shootouts" the police are um, shooting back. If the police didn't have the option of shooting, perhaps the confrontation would not have escalated to this point?

I can not think of a dumber idea. Sure, let's ensure that only the criminals have weapons. Yeah, that'll solve everything. 🙄

LOL.

This happens a lot in Miami. But this was the first time a double officer homicide took place in a long time. Thank Joe Pesci the gunman is done for as well. Little solace for the families though.

It took place at basically i-95 and 69th street, It isn't that far from 79th/80th street, a haven for pimps and hoes, and the first time I ever saw a crackwhore amputee down near the railroad station (was picking up my brother), and watched while (s)he took a leak standing up like a man.

You realize that would just lead to an entire force of dead police right? And a scene not unlike escape from New York, or Soylent green?

(Not that Miami is far off from that anyway)

Very sad.

And OP is a fucking idiot for his attempt to politicize this with the "ZOMG BAN THE GUNS!!!!!!!!" nonsense.

This was tragic, and while the talking heads on MSNBC and Fox News may use this to segue into that argument, it's hardly fitting for the first comment in this thread.

PS for those not in this area - Liberty City is probably the biggest shithole in South Florida. If it was nuked from orbit, Florida crime rate would likely instantly drop a few percentage points.

Holy fuck you are dumb.

Oh, and we'd quit.
