I think that was a response to South Park making fun of the Simpsons on one of their episodes. Heheheh...OJ cutting everyone's heads off cracked me up!

Yeah, I forgot that one. That was hilarious too. That whole episode was one of their best.

Good shows, but both had very weak endings (the first was worse). In fact, for the last couple of years, weak endings have been standard for the Simpsons.
