lol.. that's a pretty good answer, but the main reason people want two monitors is to increase productivity or jus to do more things at once. One way people that use a lot of online resources take use of this is to have their resource on the second monitor, whereas what they're doing on one monitor, or if your like me, u want to game and watch tv at the same time, or chat, watch tv and do w/e else you want, two monitors really help. Also, it increases ur desktop space by as much as 2 - 3x what you would normally have with one monitor (depending on resolution). Either way, if you have the desk space, then get the converter, and use the second mnitor, because you'll find some way to utilize the second monitor. >>
Most products only allow you to use the primary boot video card to display advanced features,
such as TV out and 3d gaming. Secondary video can "usually" only be used for basic 2d apps.
This has been the way with Win 98 and WinME, but perhaps XP has solved this issue?
