I'm wondering if Windows will let me have 2 mice. Both with programable buttons plugged in at once.

Well there's no harm in asking a question. It's not like you asked if you can run windows off two hard drives at the same time.

Yup, verry true. We all learn this stuff sometime.

Anyway, wanted to know before I went out and bought something like this. Actually not like taht, way to expensive.

I have another mousey question. I have a microsoft trackball optical, set up with program specific buttons. When I start my pc up the button settings don't work. I just have to open the mouse program and close it, and everything is fine. Is there anyway I can get around this, or get my pc to run the program on startup and i'll just close it myself?

Thanks guys and gals.

Create shortcut to teh mouse program and put this shortcut in Startup folder

to find Startup folder
click Start
GO to all programs
right click and select "open" or "explore" on Startup folder.

Cheers!

OK, so my microsoft intellipoint software [for the trackball] dosen't work properly when I start up my with the trackball and my razer at the same time.

If i don't plug the razer in till the pc starts up and I open and close the trackball software, then everythings fine. But I don't want to unplug and plug my razer mouse everytime.

So whats wrong? Anyway I can get around this? 3rd party software?

Check if swapping the mice in the usb ports helps. The initialization order might change.

Neat idea, but it shouldn't work. As posted above, the trackball's features [like the programmed buttons] don't work until i've run up the application and closed it. So unless I can find away to get windows to recognise the mouse fully by itself [with this software or third party] I can't see it working.

But I'll give it a go :)

Personally, I try to keep the different manufacturers' drivers to minimum.

E.g. I ONLY use HP printers, so there is no conflicts. Same with Logitech mice/keyboards.

I've experienced problems with both Intellipoint and SetPoint software, so perhaps a different version of driver will help.

Good luck!
