two iTunes questions

1) When you want to import one of your CDs, how do you get it to import with the track name, album name, artist name, etc.?

2) How do you backup your library so you can change it to another computer? (ie just copy the folder to a dvd, then import on your other box through itunes, or maybe copy the folder into iTunes?)

Answer 1) Go to preferences--> General Tab-->Connect to the Internet When Needed - This will allow iTunes to connect to the Gracenote CD DataBase (CDDB) and dowload the tracknames, once it does that just click the impoort button,

Answer2) Go to preferences--> Advanced Tab--> Look at the folder in the Gray Box and then copy that folder to a DVD with Explorer.

There ya go hope it helped.

ahah! thank you very much!

once I've copied the library to DVD, what's the best way to import the songs so that they're still organized? Right now it's just mostly songs I've bought from the iTunes music store, so I'll just import them and then authorize the computer. Should I just copy the folder + files over or should I do an import or what?

yeah, i would just copy the stuff in the folder (not the actual folder itself) to the iTunes folder on the new PC.
