Good question. I'm not bothered by either, personally. I would suggest though that it's because men are the major pornography consumers, and most men are heterosexual. Some of the women I've known who like porn seem to be interested in gay man porn. I can only extrapolate that if this was a woman run society, that gay men would be much more accepted.
