Get this. You can buy a 1.2 GHz Athlon Thunderbird ($488) and a 750 MHz Pentium III ($190) for about the price of one 1.0 GHz Pentium III ($664).
This is even better: if you overclock the 750 MHz P3 to 1.0 GHz (133 MHz FSB X 7.5 multiplier = 1.0 GHz), you will have one 1.0 GHz P3 and one 1.2 Tbird for the price of one stock 1.0 GHz P3.

Um...dude...you can buy almost 15 Duron 600's for that $664 dollars (good old calc.exe) And most of these will overclock nicely as I'm sure we're all aware.
