1. i have a kenwood soveriegn reciever in my bedroom...i have this strange interference that comes through my speakers on certian inputs...it does it on digital and rca inputs...its a buzzing sound...but its intermittent...if i switch the reciever to a channel with nothing connected its totally silent..then i switch back to the same channel i was on and the interference is gone! but after sitting on that channel for a few hours it returns...the longer i elave it alone the louder it gets...you can't really hear it when something is playing..but when its really quiet it can get annoying...any ideas? i already pulled it out and completely redid my wiring, thinking that was the problem...but its still there...

2. big screen tv question: a while ago my house got broken into, and the dickless sob's cut up the screen on my bigscreen tv...its a 46" zenith...the screen has this cover that is textured...makes a zipping noise when you run your fingernail across it(sorry thats the best way i can think of to describe it) anyway...they slashed this cover about 25 times, so i just moved the tv under my stairs since it pissed me off everytime i looked at it...well, i got to looking at it where they had cut all the way through the screen, and theres a second screen under this first one...looks to be made of glass...it looks fine to me...what i'm wondering is if i could pull the slashed cover off and just leave the glass exposed? i dunno if that would make the picture look like crap or anything...i thought someone here would...i dont want to drag it all the way out just to find out it isnt watchable

thx in advance :D

Try temporarilly using a short wire and putting the speakers like 6 inches from the output jacks of the Stereo.

The long speaker wires may be picking up a nearby Flourescent light transformer. If that is the problem use a coax type of cable that still has two zero ohm wires but a ground jacket.

For the TV, the outside grid is needed for the scan line resolution.
You should be able to order a new grid.

so what would the screen look like if i took it off? blurry as hell? EDIT: any idea what the grid would cost?

and i'll try that with the speakers...thx for the idea...i have a blacklight in there, now that i think about it...but its not on all the time
