Two drunk guys broke into my cousins' house and started beating the youngest one up.

Yesterday, 2 drunk, 30ish year old men broke into my cousins' house in Chino Hills, CA, dragged out the youngest one (12 years old), and started beating him up on their front yard. My other cousin (his 19 year old brother) came out with a knife and stabbed one of them twice. Then, my uncle came outside and punched them in the face until he broke his hand. Finally, my aunt came outside with a loaded gun and held them at gunpoint to let the youngest one go.

They're pressing charges for invasion of privacy, kidnapping, and a bunch of other stuff.

And why are they simply suing? They just be pressing charges.

Sorry, that's what I meant.

And, Looney, my uncle was probably drunk, too (he's an alcoholic), so he wasn't thinking straight.

I'm thinking there is more to this story than 2 random drunk guys barging into the house.

Did your uncle owe them money?

So a 12 year old was dragged out of his house for no reason at all and beten and possibly would have been killed if not for the intervention of others...

I never cease to be amazed by people.

Immediately I thought these were high-schoolers who had beef with one of my cousins, but then I learned they were 30. I'm not sure, it's possible. Consider that Chino Hills is a pretty ghetto place, with high crime rates. Maybe it was just chance that their house was randomly picked?

There must be more, and drugs could be involve.

I call Shen! if drugs & money isn't involve.

To bad the gun didn't come into play quicker.

Even though I'm not for having guns, I think that if you have one, at least make it easily accessible, not in some safe in an obscure area of the house.

It seemed to end as well as possible, and I could only imagine what would have happened if the gun HAD come out earlier.

Indeed.

If that was my house they would have been picking up two dead bodies instead of arresting two "suspects".

Same here... Except I would have had to shoot each suspect a bunch of times and they'd die slow painful deaths because I only have cheap target ammo, atm.

 To K1052's and brxndxn's replies. I don't have a gun, so I would have slit their throats or beat them into a pulp with my baseball bat if they were attacking my brother.

So if two guys broke into your house, grabbed your children and started beating them, you wouldn't want them to die?

I certainly would.

Yeah, because shooting two guys beating on another guy gaurantees that those two guys will be the ones dead.

Should have just shot them both. I'm sure no one is going to miss 2 idiotic drunks, and if they have kids well they are probably better off without those deadbeats.
