My roommate says he buys macs for rounded corners and plug - how else can I convince him?

Update: Site now compares 13.3" and 17" - damn that inspiron 13 is cheap - stupid Dell Canada charges way more than Dell USA or else I might pickup one of those 13" inspirons
 
There is nothing wrong with a Mac. I'm not a Apple fan but the construction quality and polish of OS X will be better than the Dells.
 
build a sub 1k machine with a good hs/fan and overclock, show him how much faster it is than any new mac he can buy.


i like macOS alot though...im definitely not against macs... they are quality stuff..
 
no shit. from experience its very hard to convince those who have been bedazzled by steve jobs. just let him spend his money how he wants to. unless its not his money, then he can just cut himself at night because he got a dell instead of a mac.

I fried some bacon the other day, and then used the grease to cook an omelet. It was delicious. Good thing my heart is in great shape becaugh8743#@$dc` fweNO CARRIER

What's great is that I've started freezing bacon in individual slices, because I could never use up the whole package before (I know, eat more bacon then, right?). But now I can just pull a slice or two or three or six out of the freezer and cook them up right then. Incredibly obvious in hindsight. Now I can have bacon more often.

You have to account the 2 days of your time it takes to remove all the bundleware from the Dell into your equation. Also the five hours you spend on the phone with someone in India reading off a script when things go wrong vs going to the Apple store and talking to an American at the Genius Bar. Just sayin'.

the civic gets better gas mileage, costs half, lower insurance, and cheaper maintenance.
 
Let's be honest here, Apple sells premium products and the design on their laptops is far better than anything else I've seen. I'm a little too cheap to get a macbook myself, but I definitely get why people want them.

If you told someone who wants a BMW 3-series that he can get a souped up Civic that goes as fast, you'll not change his mind.
