Did anyone notice Jenna Elfman with her former co-star Thomas Gibson (Dharma and Greg) on the show?

Also, Jenna Elfman was on the show previously as the mom on the run with her daughter.

Yeah that bugged me.

Anyone see the show afterwards? 2 Broke Chicks or something? That show was raunchy...and has a lot of potential :D

"That sound makes my vagina dry up."
"I wear a knit cap because of cold weather. You wear a knit cap because of Cold Play."

They even showed someone having sex (off camera of course). Couldn't believe a lot of that stuff is allowed on TV now. Good stuff!

As usual Ashton sucked. The dynamics were completely different and not in a good way. I agree with the above poster, the whole thing seemed forced. I'm hoping by some miracle Sheen goes back, they do have a few openings in the story the way I see it to bring him back. We never saw his body and Rose was with him when he died...we all know her character is mischievous and they could cook something up...maybe he faked his death and she was involved. Who knows, I just hope Ashton doesn't make it past one season.

Because otherwise the intense intellectual and artistic integrity of the show will be seriously compromised! :whiste:
If you want intense intellectual and artistic integrity watch PBS, if you want to laugh watch Two and a Half Men

I saw it. It sucked in my view. The premise is stupid. I'm trying to think of a funny scene or joke from the show last night and I'm coming up empty.

The writers at least covered their bases. They know Ashton can't act, so they used his looks, and to make sure they made him a billionaire. It looks to me like they are going to milk Allan's part for all it's worth.

I must have missed all of that. The dialogue and acting was so bad that I turned it off after the first 10 minutes.

Is Ashton Kutcher funny?

Seriously. the Kelso space cadet character is one dimensional and will run out of gas long before the writer's witty lines.

I was waiting for Roberta to declare, "billionaire, my ass!"

Saw the new episode last night. The whole ex-gf/funeral scene looked so forced. Maybe because it was a tie-over episode, it was pretty uneventful, predictable, and generally boring.
And Kutcher played a grown up version of "Kelso", just like I thought he would.

They were even in their Dharma and Greg characters.

And who was the EP of Dharma and Greg? Chuck Lorre.

The funniest thing of the episode was John Stamos admitting to a hookup with Charlie when the girl passed out. That's Chuck's giant farewell "Fuck you" to Sheen.

That's just sick. Screwing a passed out chick > screwing an awake dude.

I thought Stamos just meant they kept fucking the girl while she passed out, but not each other.

A better "Fuck you" to Sheen would be to write a better episode.
It was just one cliché after another:
angry ex-gf at funeral, dropped urn with ashes everywhere, heartbroken billionaire got hot girls, ex-wife saw Alan hugging naked man...

If you want intense intellectual and artistic integrity watch PBS, if you want to laugh watch Two and a Half Men

When I want to laugh I watch Archer or Modern Family or Community or any of a number of actually smart and funny shows, not the tired-ass clusterfuck of unimaginative and derivative mediocrity that Two and a Half Men is.

Not to mention that PBS has generally jumped the shark. Premium, and even basic cable took its lunch money, gave it a wedgy, and shoved it in its locker some years ago now.

Try to keep up, k? ;)

But, who knows, maybe you are really drawn to shows with stupidly obnoxious laugh tracks, "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA."

Each to his own, "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA."

I can't stand them, "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA."

When I want some fair approximation of "intense intellectual and artistic integrity" on TV (that was said sarcastically in my OP in regards to 2 & 1/2, you know), that's where I go, cable, where Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad and Mad Men all are, not the bascially uncompetitive backwater that PBS has sadly become.

I forget the exact line, but I think it was something like that when the girl passed out they kept going with each other. It sounds VERY gay at the time.

Here's the exact wording:

Stamos: Bad memories. Charlie and I had this drunken threesome with a crazy chick right on this couch.

Evelyn: Sounds like a good memory.

Stamos: Yeah, well unfortunately she passed out and Charlie and I kept going without her. Bad memory.

I think that's pretty clear.

I've seen worse. Funny thing is I only started watching the shoe on reruns after Sheen became a big joke and it's actually quite funny. The one with Ashton was below par but perhaps it has some potential.
