Never. Inflammatory comments fuel emotional response, emotional response sells. I'd be surprised if a lot of the comments weren't from paid shills.

I wouldn't even chalk it up to shills. I think there are some people that get their jollies from trolling people, and social media platforms make it so easy. And then the respective hate machines of the Internet's political spheres jump into action with broad brushes.
