how the heck is apple in spot number 3? are people purchasing that much stuff off of iTunes? Netflix and google make sense, I would have even put hulu in there, but I never would have put apple in the top ten.

i was watching a stream on twitch for about 10 hours yesterday about a fighting game tournament. day 3 is always the best because it has all of the good players fighting to win the spots. well i didn't really watch it for 10 hours, but i had it on in the background and was watching a lot of it. the stream got up to like 15k at the most from when i was watching.

Its actually pretty cool if you find the right guy to watch. Alot of the times I find it more entertaining watching them play than playing the game myself.

Yeah, I'd rather do something myself than watch other people do it...just like *real* sports.

I don't understand the point, and I do fault both worlds 🙂

Does Google include Youtube?

Podcasts, movies/TV, music and shit. I'm not that surprised TBH.

iTunes, AppleTV

How soon will Comcast start rate limiting the service and trying to hold their customers for ransom?

I use justin.tv a lot which is owned by twitch.tv

I checked my bandwidth since i have been watching it and it has averaged 1-2 gb per day.

I don't doubt that they get a lot of traffic, their service is awesome.

One thing that rules for me is they have a low bandwidth hls stream that actually plays well on my 3g connection.

Picture is 400x266 on the low stream so it doesn't look great on my tv but I am not watching Planet Earth or anything visually intense, just cartoons and old 90's tv, maybe the occasional basketball game if it's one that I can't get.
