Update: The website has updated it to reflect that these babies use CH-5 Chips. Peeps, get these and post the results!! 🙂

That's actually exactly what I did also. But $90!! I've also heard that these would actually o/c better than the Corsair!!
arghhhhh

hot deal, imo. down from $122 a few days ago. although i already have some pc3200 twinmos, i'm tempted to get more to test out. 😀

they sent me this 2 weeks ago when I ordered 512MB of Twinmos PC2700. Works great for me in MSI K7VL along with a stick of Crucial.

I'd bite if I didn't just get The Buffalo/winbonds from Newegg for $79 shipped. This works well on nforce2 boards. Arguably the best for that board.

I'm running this memory in my 8RDA+ at 2-2-2-5, 11x200. It also passed 12 hours of memtest86 without an error.

This is a GREAT deal! I got mine when it was $122.....that's life!

weird. title on that page says twinmos/winbond (which is good) but in description it says manufactured by mtec.

Very observant! Maybe this makes it not so hot anymore.

Did you get your stick from memoryX? I am just wondering what the "Manufactured by Mtec " means and what the chips really are.

Thanks for any input.

So here's the million dollar question:

What's the better ram, the Buffalo, or this Twinmos?

Decisions decisions 😕

when the buffalo was $70/79 and twinmos $122, i would've gone with the buffalo for sure. now that twinmos is only ~$5 more ($85 vs. $90)...i'd go with twinmos.

the twinmos pc2700 uses m-tec chips. the pc3200 is either twinmos branded chips or winbond bh-5 chips. unless it recently changed.

That is an evil review by an evil reviewer. It's been discussed in another thread somewhere..

I haven't been paying attention to the memory market for the past year or so. What is so great about these modules? How are they better, than say, Crucial?

Thanks!
