TwinMOS memory

Is this brand good...?? Is it better than my Kingston ValueRAM??

TwinMOS is reliable. They have been around a long time now and produced some of the best BH-5 based ram there ever was. I don't know much about their newer offerings but they would be no different (to me) as a corsair or a kingston.

.. as for "better", thats getting into specific product lines and then looking at prices too. look at the timings for starters. keep in mind that any difference in the quality (timings) of the ram would make only 1-2% difference on average when looking at a collection of applications.

If you buy the memory from Newegg the warranty will go thru them (Newegg) instead.

if you want customer service / peace of mind that you'll be taken care of if it fails there is only one choice: Corsair.

Thought so too, until I found out that Corsair and DFI aren't very good friends.
As in, I was lucky that my computer could boot at all, couldn't overclock one single MHz though.

A swap to TwinMOS later and I'm cruising at 2.6 GHz instead of the rated 1.8 🙂

What's funny is the first DFI nF4 boards didn't like Seasonic S12s OR Corsair Value ram, both of which were DFI's fault. I was kinda pissed when I ran into having a working 939 engineering sample, working DFI Ultra-D, working Seasonic S12-600, and working Corsair VS1GBKIT400, but it wouldn't work together!

Yeah, what I first read was that the problem was with Corsair Value, but it seems to be more general seeing as my RAM wasn't Value but rather some of their higher end PC3200(don't remember what it's called anymore).

Was pretty damn surprised that two companies who are known for their overclocking friendly products wouldn't work together to make their stuff work.
