Twinmos compactflash - any good?

Very cheap. A 26x speed twinmos card costs considerably less than a lexar or sandisk low-speed card.

Plus they are readily available in capacities up to 2048 MB.

Anything wrong with them? - the specifications seem to claim a 1,000,000 erase life time.

Where can you get these? I don't know anything about this brand, but if they're as cheap as you claim, I'll buy one and let you know how it is.

Wow...first they made a mark on the o/c scene, and then this!

If their DDR modules are of any indication, they're probably making some good stuff

Well, I only know where to get them in the UK - www.komplett.co.uk have them. A 512 MB 26x card costs just under £99, the same price you'd pay for a budget 256 MB on the high-street.

Some of the photos are from my garden, the remainder are from various places in the Yorkshire Moors and the Peak District.

Well, I've now got one of those Twinmos cards.

It's orange and has a picture of a fish on it, it's big and it's faster than canon's 'high-speed' card that came with my camera.

Can't say much more about it really.

Well, it's capacity is 512 MB rather than 512 MeB, but then I wasn't expecting the full 512 MeB.
