Twinkies

For some reason the thought of Twinkies popped in my head. I did a Google image search and was amazed at the number of Twinkies they have not. That is when I realized I have not had a Twinkie in probably 25 years.

When was the last time you had a Twinkie?

Maybe had some back in grade school. Snack food has deteriorated. These days it's barely food anymore, so many corners/costs cut. I feel sorry for those who try Twinkies on brand power alone.

BTW, Twinkie died a few years ago. Then some company resurrected it.

Surprising that you still see Twinkies are still around. Although there are so many different types now.

My go to type of this snack in the day was frozen ding dongs. Great snack, stupid name.

anyone used to eat these?

Weren't the Peanuts characters used as a promo for them? I recall that as a teen.

I actually had 6 (two 3 packs) of zingers over this weekend. Incredible with a cup of coffee.
I will also say Hostess Cup Cakes are way better than Twinkies. Twinkies are horrible (though my wife does like them...)

Awesome! Never a twinkie fan but I did like chocodiles.

I liked Sno-balls, tried one after the resurrection and the magic just wasn't there.
They are rather anemic now. They used to be so big and poofy. Now you can see the cake through the marshmallow topping. They look like B cups now rather than the full C cups back in the day.

I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure it hasn't been more than ten years.

I used to love the Hostess cupcakes when I was a kid. I would always peel off the icing and eat it first, then eat the cake part.
