well, techno doesn't really go anywhere, it just... plays on all night.

ANY good music will go somewhere. It has to have progression. That is what makes a good song what it is and its also what made me hit the stop button on yours halfway through

wtf, if you ever been to a club, you would notice that 'progressive techno' doesn't go anywhere for 30 mins at a time. Subtle changes at best.

if you don't think techno is good, you are a fvcking idiot. 90% of the world is in love with techno and electronica. Americans are left out of the loop. We are also the stupidest nation on earth. Good thing i'm European.

It's good you're trying to be creative. It doesn't matter what others think, as long as you enjoy your own creation, and take pride in your work.

i enjoy trance, no expert on the subject though.

i like music to feel tactile, like you can feel the texture of the sounds...the part from 0:20-0:50 had that tactile feeling. it got me interested in the music, and made it more memorable, because i remember the sound of it and the tactile feeling it gave. i actually didn't like the last third of it to be honest, but only because it's lacking the textured sound that i like.

Okay, i'm no producer, but i do listen to a ton of trance, & you need to find a style.

You completely changed the tone of the track like 4 times

Basically, it's like going to see an action movie, & watching it change from action to drama to romance to chick flick to comedy...you need to decide what the song's tone will be, & then work on making a progressive buildup.

Good trance is like good sex.

There are 4 parts to the experience.

1. - the introduction (not much happening, but you set the tone)
2. - buildup, all progressing toward the end, the climax
3. - climax, the best part of the track, where it all comes together
4. - the slowdown, the gradual end

no no no, that is the general gist, but look at tiesto and pvd doing whatever they want. I know it has problems, I am working them out.

thats what I was telling him....but I guess since he's obviously a big music star he doesn't need to take suggestions from people who might one day people buying his tracks...or dancing to them.....right....

You asked for how we felt about it. Man up and take some criticism.

Sounds a bit fuzzy... and like someone made it on his home PC. But not awful i guess.

yea... that's not how it works.

Sounds like all the individual tracks were just mashed together. The individual sounds don't blend terribly well. Needs a "chorus" or something to stand out.

Trance and its variants are the only music I listen to, and theres a part, midway/3/4 through that has potential...the rest sounds typical, and therefore boring

I have a great sound system and it sounds great. I only layer no more than 4 tracks at a time, I think it's your system that sounds fuzzy. Some techno has as much as 32 tracks at once.

ummm actually your "drum" effects sound nothing like the real thing. So I agree with the above poster. And don't pull that "your system sounds fuzzy" crap on me. The effects sound worse than my keyboard.

I'm more into the DnB side of things, but I gave it a listen. At least you have some dedication and are actually trying to make something...keep it up, it'll get better. It's not terrible, but work on it. It'll get there.
