My local Tweeter had a lot of floor model itesm for sale and clearence on Revievers and DVD players. Minidisk players were suprisingly low, ie Sony MZ-R500 (red) for 98 dollars. This Tweeter is located in Braintree, Massachusetts. This one is fairly new to the area and yet there are clearence and floor items so theres a good chance the one near you may have this type of a sale. Remember YMMV. I'm stopping by again tomorrow to pick up the Sony MZ-R700 for 149.99 whereas the cheapest is 189.99 and retail on the sony site for 249.99. Happy hunting 🙂

Man, I didn't know tweeter was a store, I thought this was a thread for maybe some actual tweeter speakers for hopefully car audio. Arrgh... I hate when that happens...
 
Tweeter used to be affiliated with oustpost.com (i.e. had a web sales presence using the outpost.com web site) Prices were generally pretty high, though. I see that nowadays they have a new site at www.tweeter.com but there isn't anything for sale there.
 
tweeter.com has always been there. They had a store that linked you to Outpost.com if you want to buy anything. I was in Tweeter two weeks ago and they had some pretty good prices. They often have good prices on the Sony WEGA TVs.
