Tweens are kids age 10-12?

Hmmm, I've always thought the term "tweens" referred to people in their twenties, hence the "twe" at the front of the word, who still acted like teens.

What is the vernacular for those folks then?

😵

Yeah tween has been used for pre-adolescent aged kids for...uh...ever?

No clue what word you are looking for.

A low level character in a video game with the best gear designed that normally is looted by the help of higher levels. 😉

But google image search that and see what you get.

LOL, Ill pass. I dont need a visit from pedobear.

So now the OP knows why everyone always looked at him strange when he talked about going and picking up tweens...

OK, but why use the word "tween" to describe 10-12 year olds? Teen refers to someone that is thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, etc. I'm failing to see the correlation of the word tween with 10-12 year olds except for twelve. Twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, etc. is a more logical correlation.
