what does the new tweakui do that the older one doesnt?

Near as I have seen, just a nice and pretty GUI

The GUI looks the same to me. The icon is different. So far, I found the toolbar enhancements have changed by name and lets you adjust the small and large animations in the IE browser toolbar, "keep RAS connections after logoff" has been added to the logon controls, logon settings control added, a new category "Access Control" has been added, under "Task Bar and Start Menu" the option to not show the user name on the startup has been added, "explorer customizations" has been added (the number of folder customizations to remember), "Slide Show" settings (the adjustment of the number of milleseconds per picture) has been added, under "General", window size settings for using ALT-Tab added.

There's more I'm sure, but personally, I've already modified the registry to do what I want anyway and some of the things that IMO need to be added like Shell NO Roam/Bags and Bags MRU didn't make it (to keep your windows opening remembering details correctly everytime) still didn't make it.

has a tweak which fixes the problem with windows not remembering certain folders' view settings
has another tweak which allows you to copy various settings (mouse settings, screen saver, etc) to the login screen

those are the only two that caught my eye

No, folder customizations is different that BagMRU size.

well the exploer->customizations tweak fixes the same 'bug' that the shellnoroam/bagmru registry hack fixes so if theres a difference im not sure what it is

I've never actually used TweakUI, is it any good? Whats special about it that makes it worth using? I know you can tweak things obviously, but is there any of features included?

You are correct! The Shell/Shell No Roam, BagsMRUSize affects the Folder Customizations, but changing their size doesn't seem to "restore" them when the Bags and the BagsMRU become corrupt, ie. deleting the keys Bags and BagsMRU under Shell No Roam. And still no repair option. Unless, changing the size to zero and then possibly having to logoff and logon deletes them and resizing them back restores them. I don't know yet.
