The Gigabyte G1.Sniper B5 ATX motherboard that escrow4 mentioned does look pretty nice, but do I really want/need a $100 motherboard in a budget computer?

It seems that most full sized ATX boards are quite a bit more expensive than the MicroATX boards, but since I'll most likely be using a full ATX tower case, shouldn't I also use a full ATX board? Or can the micro boards also fit in a standard case?

Most ATX cases will take mATX. What case?

I'm currently leaning toward this case. It's more than I need, but it's a really solid, quiet, quality build with some nice extras (built in fan controller, for one), and the rebate drops it down pretty close to the price of much cheaper quality cases.

The GX700 can handle a MicroATX board no problem. But no, I wouldn't spend $95 on a board for this PC. The B85M-DS3H that lehtv recommended will do what you need for much less.

The Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H isn't $52 any more (it's $65 after a $10 rebate now, plus $3 shipping). Does that change the recommendation at all, or is it still probably my best option?

It's still good value, but you might as well get an ATX board for an ATX case: Asrock B85 Pro4 $65. The Asrock board happens to have a slightly better sound chip and an Intel NIC instead of Realtek, for what that's worth (not much).
