When you have a monopoly... I mean oligopoly... I mean free market dictates services. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Charters the only cable in my area, it's fast as shit and I can't remember the last time it went down. Monopoly or not, TWC has no excuse how bad their service is. My Bro In Law pays for 50mb internet, and I can't even watch 720p Youtube videos without it buffering every 5 seconds.

Damn, pretty bad lol.

I had TWC for a few months, never any problems whatsoever in 91744. Decent speed for a decent price.

One of the more imaginative yelp reviews I've read...

Do you like being invited to a party? You're dancing and laughing with your new friends. Someone grinds you and whispers that you have a nice facial structure. Nelly is playing loud on the speakers! And then without you knowing someone slips a pill into your drink... The walls close in, you get dizzy and then you wake up on Time Warner's bed. Time Warner has his shirt off and his Dockers are around his ankles. Limp Bizkit is playing loud and you can't hear yourself think. Time Warner's massive rape rod is swollen hard. He has inserted this unholy member into the little exit that digested food escapes from. He pounds and pounds away at your frail little consumer body. He puts his halitosis-ridden mouth on yours. Then after all this... He brings himself to climax on your lower back tattoo...

Not the greatest execution, but I'll give him credit for trying it and not having it taken down in violation of some rule.

It's not much better in NYC.

The service goes out, tech support makes me go through all the tests then says we'll send a tech. He comes and does some tests when the service works fine, leaves reporting no errors. 4 hours later, no internet again. Rinse repeat for 2 years. Can't get any other service in the building

freakin love my small town cable co..

all i pay for is data 10/10, they leave EVERYTHING on the qam network unscrambled except the movie channels..

so yeah, i basically pay 40 bucks for 10/10, and HD cable, the only couple of channels that don't have an HD stream are comedy central and FX... dunno why.. everything else though is tits!

it's layed out weird since i dont use there box, use my own tuner/htpc setup, so all the digital stuff is spread across 75.x, 100.x, 120.x, 122.x which renders tvguide useless but all the streams are there!!!

it's basically 1-75 analog basic
and then all of the channels again, but HD stream from 75-120

better bandwidth would be nice but i have the best they offer, i'm sure we'll get a speed increase soon enough, they try to keep up with Suddenlink (in the city, not available in my neighborhood) and they are at 25mbps right now..

TWC is OK speed wise. Their pricing sucks if you don't bundle though. I'm paying $60 for what works out to about 10/1. If I wasn't streaming so much video I would just tether but I don't think Verizon would appreciate me pulling down 100GB a month or more :p

Lol wtf is up with your speeds? There has to be something better.

I'm in Addison, Texas. North suburb of Dallas next to Plano. I've got TWC and get 30/5 service for $40/month. Had it a little over a year and have yet to have an outage or any issues. Never seen anything below 25/5 when I run a speedtest. So far I'm satisfied with the service.

i'm about 30 mins north of you and best there is, is 25mbps, and then exactly 7 miles farther north east... 10mbps.. and actually, at my mom's about 10 miles FARTHER north (about 10 miles from the texas/ok border) there's no high speed.... best is the 4GLTE service, from the same provider that i get cable from.

you can actually get decent speeds with 4g. ping might suffer a little, but my brother has gotten as high as 30MB/s (in an airport, granted).

i have no idea why TWC sucks this bad. i will be dropping them like a bad habit the second i can (i've only been in this apartment 2 months, moving out at end of july)

oh she has it, it's usually ~15-20mbps/ 1mbps

it's not bad..

i'm staying hardlined here (it's available as well here, either that or cable, which i have)

cable is 10/10, and all the digital qam channels are unscrambled.. so i dont even pay for TV.. and have everything in HD.. (HTPC)

And they raised their internet prices over the last few years. Slower internet for more money. Yaaay
