TWC internet and SB6141 modem

Hey guys,

Today I noticed a nice boost in speed with TWC and my SB6141. I am on a 100/10 plan because from all the things I've read over the past couple years, the SB6141 maxes out at 100mbps down and 10 up. I found this true even when I used to have a 200/20 plan.

Today however (or maybe recently), I ran a speed test on my desktop PC, ip7, and my PS4 and all were hitting well above 100mpbs. On my PC i'm getting 250/20.

I still have the same plan and modem. Does anyone know if TWC (or Spectrum now) changed something to allow the SB6141 modem to have faster down/up speeds?

As Dave said, the SB6141 is capable of >100Mbps. I've read though that TWC only uses 8 channel modems for up to 100Mbps plans - above that requires a 16 channel modem. This pages shows which modems are approved for the different service tiers:
