Hey guys,
So I picked up one of those small 7" windows tablets and have been messing around with it the past few days. My initial thoughts are that the device is pretty impressive. I paid $47 for an open box version, and it still had the Office 365 year subscription included. It actually got 'better than I thought' scores with 3D Mark and I can't imagine doing anything else on it that will make me need greater specs than the tablet has.
So essentially I ended up finding a topic about changing the default install directory for apps with Windows 8, and I ended up trying to install a few apps with the new directory. Quickly found out I couldn't do this in Win 8.1 so I reverted the changes back but still cannot download the apps that were supposed to be installed onto the SD card.
I tried wsreset.exe, deleting the actual files, uninstalling, etc. The app always tries to download to the SD card, rather then the default directory now. I end up getting an error message that the purchase could not be made. Every time I visit the store, it says 'You own this app and you can install it on this computer', but never ends up working.
Thoughts on how I can get the app downloaded and working again? Hope this makes even a small bit of sense. lol
Thanks!
:edit: So in a nutshell. I changed installation paths and then tried to download Crackle. After changing paths back to the default app install directory, the store is still trying to install it to my D:\ drive. Apps that have no previously been installed are working/installing fine.
:edit again for more clarification:
What I did:
Got the tablet.
Downloaded Crackle App
Changed Default App installation directory
Deleted Crackle
Redownloaded
Got error
Changed default install directory back
Still get error (app tries to install to D drive rather then C:\Programs Files\WindowsApps)
Someone I talked to in an IRC chat said I would have to get a new microsoft account to change this?
