I have been searching for months for a suitable TV tuner card for my pc. I need a card that will work with DirecTV. I also am looking for a card that will change the channels on my receiver. DirecTV works like this: You go to channel 3 and all the DirecTV channels run through channel 3. This is why I need a card that will change the channels on the satellite receiver and not on just the card. Thus, I will hook the receiver up to the card and then scedule recordings, which the card will then change to the appropriate channel at the appropriate time. Any suggestions?

I don't think the card you're looking for exists. I haven't seen one that will control a cable box let alone a DirecTV receiver.
 
The cards won't but you can use a transmitter and some software that will controll your DirectTV receiver. Look around on AVSforum in the HTPC section for somthing called an IRblaster(I think thats what is called).
