OK so I have a Hauppauge PVR-150. It has problems when you have over 3.X gb of ram in 64 bit Vista. I got tired of trying a million different drivers from a million different sites, only to have it eventually crap out again, so I gimped my system down to 2gb of ram - since it is my primary TV. My question to the ATOT community is - who has a TV Tuner, preferrably with hardware PVR, Vista 64 bit, and 4gb of ram or more - and no problems? I know many cards out tehre are "Vista Certified" - as is this PVR-150 - but it doesn't negate the problems some chipsets experience at over 4gb of ram. Any help or positive experiences people can relate with other cards would be greatly appreciated.

Summary:

*Need TV Tuner card known to work with Vista 64 Bit
*MCE Functionality
*NTSC capable
*Works flawlessly with 4gb ram or more
*Can be PCI, PCI-E, or USB

I haven't had any issues with my ATI HD650 and Vista x64 + 4GB. I mean, the free media center app (Catalyst Media Center) they bundle with it is absolutely atrocious and unstable in Vista, but Windows Media Center works just fine with it.

There're several versions of it - the stock ATI one, the Visiontek bundle (comes with the remote + receiver included in the box), and maybe a Sapphire bundle (not sure what's in this one).

I want to keep an eye on this item that supposedly is a new product from Asus.

I hope a review of this thing will show up in the near future, because I am not buying anything from Hauppauge, or any product with less than perfect support for Vista x64 and 8GB ram.

Been waiting since january to find a trustworthy tv tuner that hopefully can work with my Vista x64 and 8GB ram.

I feel your pain. I have a PVR-500MCE, and I didn't install Vista 64bit for the exact same problem. While I do have 4GB RAM installed, it only uses whatever the max is (3.34GB or something). I've been keeping my eye out, but I am in no hurry since this works ok for me (for now). But I need to take the OS install and punt... I can't log in due to some activation issue (some service is not starting at boot and it happens to be part of MS's activation/validation services). So I will be re-formating and re-installing.

My DVICO HDTV Pro (PCI) works flawlessly with Vista64 and 4GB RAM under Media Centre.

DVB-T however.
