tv tuner software question

So im debating on getting a TV tuner for my desktop @ home but I want to broadcast over the internt so i can watch football games on Sat & Sun when i'm stuck in the lab. Anyone know of any programs besides ORB that will let me do that?

Most upload speeds are capped faily low (~150bps), so you will have a low res slide show. You should try a peer-to-peer test first.

What do you mean by a peer-to-peer test? As for upload speeds, i'm pretty sure mine is higher than 150 bps w/ comcast.

Depending on what capture card you have, and the drivers, you could set up a WM9 video stream using Windows Media Encoder.

Windows Media Encoder. I love it. I've streamed OTA TV to my friend (over IP) with it in real-time at 384kbps (48kBps) upload (quality wasn't too bad). Depending on your TV tuner, it may or may not have sound when you use WME. Hopefully it will. Mine didn't, but I have a picky adapter (ATI USB 2.0). Most will do just fine.

Comcast offers 384kbps or 768kbps. They changed speeds recently so reset your modem/router.
