Hi,

I'm in the market to buy a TV tuner. I would like to know if anyone have experience with the Terratec Cinergy 400 or 600 TV cards, as they look promising. Or have any other recommendations.

High picture quality is essential. Feed will be normal cable (no digital). Time shifting in good quality would be nice (as would DivX). USB 2.0 unit is preferable, but PCI will probably have to do, though products like this are under way.

Have also looked at NextVision 5 & 6, which I realize can't timeshift, but looks good for quality - anyone tried those?

Machine is P4 1.6@2.4, 512mb DDR, GF4 ti4200, 340gigs HD capacity

Thx
B.

I've always liked ATi's All-In-Wonder (AIW) cards. The AIW 9700 is supposed to be the 900 lbs gorilla of tuner/capture cards as of now. Read AnandTech's review here. Pricey though, $449 MSRP. If you have another ATI card you can trade up for $349.
