I'm in need of a new TV stand pretty badly. I've been to numerous stores and nothing I've seen at those stores (Best Buy, Ikea, and a handful of furniture stores) will work.

It needs to be able to:

A) Hold a 60" Plasma.
B) Have room for a center channel speaker that is rather large... It's 8.5" high, 20" wide and 15.5" deep. I need room to adjust the angle of the speaker.
C) Needs room for a computer in an Antec P180 case laying sideways. It's surprisingly almost exactly the same size as the speaker besides the depth.

A & B are mandatory. C is strongly preferred, but not 100% necessary. I would prefer the type that has a beam shooting up the back that you mount the TV onto. That would allow me to place the speaker on the top shelf if clearance allows...

Thats a tall order. Have you considered just getting something for the TV and then putting a center channel stand in front of or under it?

whats your budget?

assuming your budget isnt like 200$ salamander desigins is gonna be your best bet

a synergy triple or quad will fit your plasma and your center, you can prob config one to also fit your computer, you can also get a raised mount for the TV so it does not actually sit on the stand

call them, they will basically make whatever you want

Z-Line Vitoria. $300 on amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Z-Line-Vitoria...dp/B0013J0GG0/
Supports up to a 60", 150lb tv.

Here's a pic of some dude's setup from avsforum:

The RC-LCR in the photo is not quite as tall as your center, but it's almost there - HxWxD 7-1/2" x 10-1/4" x 19-1/2"

I'm fairly certain a P180 would fit on the shelves as well, considering the size of his receiver and other equipment.

I just bought a Z-Line Sync on Amazon. I am extraordinarily pleased with it. Relatively simple to put together and the finished result looks beautiful in my living room. This particular model is expensive, but they have a whole line of products that are all supposed to be really nice.

if you have a costco nearby look for their special stands, it's made by slambrands/savante i think or something

I got a 60" one that is really nice real wood, with 4 huge side shelves with vented/sliding shelves and pull out backs for cable management and built in cable wraps
it has a metal bar mount that tilts/swivels to mount the tv on and you can place a speaker on top...

I bought it a year ago and haven't set it up yet, but it was only $300 on sale and they get em a couple times a year, usually around xmas, really good deal for the quality

the price can fluctuate from $150(!!!)-$370 depending on how fast the store sells them

here are some pics i found on another forum

Actually I think mine may be more like this:

It's hard to say as the style changes year in and out. It seems like they get a bunch made and sell them 1-2 times a year at Costco only.

you can also swap out the glass on the doors for hardwood panels or a cloth panel

I have that stand. The top shelf is only 17" deep. The bottom shelf is 20" deep, but only 8 1/4" high.

It's a great stand, but it won't meet the needs of the OP.

lol, well its a bad setup regardless of waf, the speakers should never distract from the display;)

That depends on if you'd rather see the speakers and hear the display or see the display and hear the speakers. Good speakers will disappear when they are turned on, the sound will come from wherever the sound should come from, rather it's from an image on the display, an image or an image that moved off the display. Who cares what the speakers look like if sounds don't appear to come from the speakers you really don't notice them unless everything is turned off.

To me form follows function when it comes to speakers, but I'm more of an audiophile than a videophile.
