TV Shows That Are Great On DVD

There have been some great shows with ongoing story lines that get you sucked into the story lines and make waiting a week for the next episode tough. For me, nothing fits this as well as The Shield.

Can anyone recommend any other good shows that I may have missed that are worth getting the DVDs to watch all at once?

note - I am specifically talking about serial shows with ongoing story lines rather than shows with stand alone episodes (like Law & Order or Star Trek, etc...)[/b]

Here are some I have seen and can recommend:

The Shield - best show on TV
The Wire - waiting for season 3 to hit the shelves
24 - hard to not watch it straight through when you have the DVDs
Profit - little known but entertaining

Anything labelled, "An FX Original Series" usually qualifies. I am really looking forward to "Thief"

Battlestar Galactica (2003; like DanTMWTMP suggested), Lost, Desperate Housewives (if you can get into something slightly soap opera-y), Deep Space Nine (if you like Trek -- it has some huge story arcs; I think there's a 16-episode arc in season 7), Arrested Development (surprisingly continuous episode to episode).
