TV show suggestions...

My wife and I need a new show to watch. Some shows that one or both of us have watched and enjoyed...

Prison Break (me)
True Blood (both)
Game of Thrones (both)
Jericho (me)

Did not like Dexter

There are a few others I can't think of. So tell me... what should our next show be?

I've heard good things about Justified, you might also like The Killing It's a US remake of a Danish detective drama that was well liked.

Ooh, Justified yes. I have watched that as well and did like it.

We also watched a short mini-series on discovery channel I think about an epidemic that killed most of the earth and it followed only a few survivors. It might have been called survivors actually, it was pretty good.

You need to re-watch Dexter. Because then you will like it. 🙂

Have you watched the Borgias? I hear it's OK, but most people seem to talk about Game of Thrones.

There's a new Modernesque Sherlock Holmes series (only 3 1.5 hour episodes this season) available on Netflix streaming. It's supposed to be really good.

If you like full on crazy patriotism and unashamed ridiculousness, then I suggest blazing through 24.

The Walking Dead, though not sure if it's available.

Well, I like 3/4 of the shows you listed so I'll go with:

Modern Family
Californication
Boardwalk Empire
Shameless

Ah yes, I've seen a number of seasons of 24, that was good as well. Dexter was just sooooo boring after watching the first episode. I couldn't get into it. *shrugs*

agreed.

stick with it. It took me a month or more to finish the first episode. it really picks up, though.

What about M. D. House? It's one of the most interesting TV shows for me. And I think you should try looking Leverage.

If you have Hulu Plus:

Life (quirky cop show, 2 seasons with a real ending)
Regenesis (Canadian biotech / bioterror)

Netflix DVD :

Nowhere Man (man's life is erased, he tries to find out why)

If you liked Prison Break, you'd like 'Breakout Kings'. It's basically a continuation from a different perspective, even has one of the Prison Break characters show up for an episode, same actor and everything. It's not Shakespeare, but it's decent entertainment on the same level as most PB was. There really isn't a lot of plot continuation from what I can tell though, it's moere of a House style where every ep is a different rehash of the same scenario, only instead of solving a medical mystery, it's catching a prison escapee or escapees.

I'll check both those out, thanks. Regenesis in particular seems interesting.

As everyone else has said; Breaking Bad. And give Dexter another shot. And if you'd like to try some offbeat comedy check out Trailer Park Boys (it's on Netflix).

Weeds is great, too, for some good lulz.

back to back to back it doesn't seem as off track as others have suggested. To me, it seems like the expected story arc, but there you go.

and MLP is quite hott.
