TV Problem.. HELP please

Just brought home a Samsung TXN2730F. I think something might be wrong with the antenna (cable) connection, but I just want to see if anyone has any ideas. Anything I hook up to the antenna connection flickers randomly. It just flickers for .5 seconds and makes a short pop sound. I cannot figure out what could be causing this.. defective TV? I've checked all cables, tried different cables, hooked up only VCR, and hooked up only cable TV, still flicks... any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

And it only hates the antenna connection? I have never known them to be picky like that.

They are old school, they don't understand all of this new-fangled HDTV jibba jabba!

Does the TV have two coax inputs or one? Try both inputs if it has two.

My guess is that the tuner may be bad. Check other sources and connections to make sure that it's not other parts of the TV besides the tuner.

Like TechnoKid said it could be the tuner in the set is bad. Do you have a VCR that you could hook up to the coax and use it as a tuner for testing purposes? Also it almost sounds like the cable might not be grounded properly or something. Do you have another cable that you could use? Was the previous televesion that was hooked up to this TV outlet having any issues?
