I have a question about the TV out and stuff with my computer...

I have it all plugged, and the sound works, and I know the video works too, cuz I can see windows and everything on the TV...but for some reason whenever I try to play a movie, all I see is media player, and in the middle, where the movie SHOULD be... I get a rectangle of black. Just black.

Can anybody help me? It would be greatly appreciated... thanks
 
Some graphics will only play on thr primary monitor. I have noticed this on my Ti4200. In the display settings under the Nview (I'm assuming that your card is a Nvidia card) you will have an option to set the Tv out or NTSC or what ever the tv out is to the primary display.
 
It could be the same thing with ATI. I think is has to do with the fact of how much power it would take to render all graphics and images in both NTSC Tv out and SGA, XGA or (insert your graphics output here). Have you tried switch to set the TV out as the primary display in the ATI settings?
