TV-out not working on nvidia

I was trying to get a TV-out (svideo) to work on my nVidia card (Geforce 3 Ti 200) and for some reason it won't detect the TV. I'm putting the svideo cable through a small switchbox that goes to RCA since my TV doesn't have an svideo in. I tried starting the computer up with just the svideo in it and it showed the BIOS splash screen and Windows XP loading screen perfectly. But right after it booted into windows the screen kept flashing with white all over and you could somewhat see my desktop in the background but barely. So I guess this is why Windows isn't picking it up because something is wrong with the signal when it boots into windows.

I've done this before with my other comp using ATi (X850XTPE) and it worked fine. Just plugged it in and it picked it up immediately. I have the latest drivers for nVidia so I don't know what is wrong. If anyone can give me any help I'd appriciate it. Thanks.

Please keep in mind, this has worked on my ATi card and it shows up PERFECTLY when its showing my BIOS splash screen and booting into Windows.

Can TVO be configured before a cable is connected (thus Windows is useable)? Maybe the default settings are wrong? Maybe the latest drivers are not best for such an old card? Maybe the TVO jack is not S-Video compatible but rather a mini-DIN with both S-Video and composite signals which requires a certain adapter.

In reply to both of you, when I unplug my monitor and use the S-video as the main monitor, during my BIOS splash screen and the Windows XP loading screen (which I guess is in DOS) it works perfectly on this computer. It is only when the computer gets into Windows it doesn't show on the TV correctly, nor will Windows detect that the TV is plugged in. This has to be an nVidia driver issue or a Windows issue. I thought maybe my card was broken, maybe the switchbox was incompatible, but it WORKS IN DOS. So, I have no idea.

You could perhaps try TV Tool

Abou the card working in DOS, doens't suprise me, since no drivers are loaded yet. Once you get into windows you have to put with junk like TV auto detection and macrovision copy protection, both of which probably dislike the switch box.
